Bundalong Coonawarra
All our wines are single vineyard wines only made in vintages which meet our quality expectations.
This single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was picked late to maximise the flavour. Deep red with purple hue, the nose is rich with brooding dark cassis fruit plush and rounded, with some secondary aromas of bitumen and leather. A faint leafy note when swirled.
The palate is powerful and dense with black fruits and great shape with firm structured tannins. This wine will age well and reward careful cellaring.

This wine has great balance and is vibrantly fruit. Deep purple colour with a purple tinge, the nose has deep black fruit aromas of blackberry, mulberry and liquorice with black pepper notes and some complex tarry secondary characters. Toasty vanillin characters contributed by the oak sit in the background. Bright fruited and round the palate is a generous mouthful of black fruits and spice with fine soft tannins.

2015 Cabernet Sauvignon
(Museum stock)
Rated by Halliday as gold medal standard with 95 points.
This is a fresh classic Coonawarra cabernet but reflecting a modern style. Halliday states “the bouquet is fragrant, with blackcurrant and an airbrush of Coonawarra mint, fine grained tannins first out of the block on the long; medium-bodied palate. Its those tannins, not oak that shape the overall impact of very good wine”. Best before 2035.

2014 Cabernet Sauvignon
(Museum stock)
This was a warmer year and whilst the grapes ripened early and the flavours were slower to develop, we waited and were one of the last in the area to pick. Longer hang time meant the fruit gained the intensity of flavours and tannin ripeness. Halliday says it is “perfectly balanced’ with“mulberry, blackcurrant and peppermint flavours”, we do not over oak but let the tannins come through. Best before 2032.

2012 Cabernet Sauvignon
(Museum stock)
Rated by Halliday as a gold medal standard with 95 points. Halliday says “ bright crimson-purple; like the Shiraz, matured for 18 months; every bit as good, and indeed more elegant; it is Coonawarra Cabernet at its effortless best, with cassis fruit and superfine tannins running the length of the palate. Given its pedigree, great value”. Best before 2027.

Rated by Halliday as a gold medal standard with 95 points. Halliday says “ good crimson-purple; matured for 18 months in French oak; the first vintage since ’08, the grapes sold in lesser vintages, and made by Pete Bissell; small wonder it is so polished and beautifully balanced, tannins and quality oak supporting delicious black fruit and plums”. Best before 2027.
